Capital Campaigns

Suddes Partners believes that no two campaigns are the same and remains committed to developing and executing a specialized strategy for each of the organizations we are trusted to serve.  Suddes Partners has a proven model for all phases of the capital campaign process.

As an organization moves beyond the Campaign Feasibility Assessment to execution of a capital campaign, Suddes Partners brings over 25 years experience and the resources needed for successful completion of a campaign, including but not limited to:

  • Experience articulating the organization’s needs, and subsequent Case for Support - with clearly stated goals, objectives and funding priorities. 
  • Understanding of how to develop supporting collateral materials that convey the organization’s vision and funding needs in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Ability to develop a comprehensive funding strategy that maximizes support from the organization’s donor base; and lead the organization through the design and implementation of an intensive and broad-based capital campaign.
  • Expertise to work one-on-one with the staff and volunteer leadership to identify and effectively solicit major gift donors. With personal involvement in thousands of cultivation and solicitation meetings, Suddes Partners is well-qualified to take an active role in the solicitation process (as necessary).

A Capital Campaign is composed of three phases:

Phase 1: Project and Campaign Planning
Careful planning and strategy development during the Project & Campaign Planning Phase will ensure the campaign achieves maximum success.  Focus includes: facility and project planning, campaign leadership structure, development of leadership solicitation phase collateral materials, prospecting and rating, and developing a campaign funding plan.

Phase 2: Leadership Gifts Solicitation
The ultimate measure of success for any campaign will be determined by the professional, knowledgeable and effective solicitation of leadership prospects.  Suddes Partners has decades of experience in securing major funding for non-profit organizations. Our team not only trains campaign leaders how to solicit, but personally participates in all leadership solicitation visits, as appropriate.

Phase 3: Community Gifts Solicitation
The final phase of a capital campaign is more of a “grassroots” effort to broaden the base of support for the project – ensuring every potential donor in the community has an opportunity to support the campaign.  We develop timelines and action items, the necessary collateral for reaching various segments of your donor community, and plan for special events.
